Want to meet a Louisiana Cowboy?
Here's your chance! Mr. William "Bill" Smith will be at the Baton Rouge Genealogical Society meeting on Saturday June 21st, at 10 a.m. to do a boot-scooting presentation on the life and times of the cowboy in Louisiana. Mr. Smith is an insurance executive and a working cowboy. He will arrive in cowboy garb, share slides of cowboy life, and talk about how Hurricane Rita impacted cattle ranches in the affected areas. Be sure to arrive 15 minutes early to assure a good seat. The meeting starts at 10 sharp at 9200 Bluebonnet Blvd, the Bluebonnet Library meeting room. It's free and open to the all. Come on down and sit in on a good time!
