9200 Bluebonnet Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA

Dr. Saltus, the Indiana Jones of Louisiana waterways, presents a fascinating visual account of underwater recoveries of keelboats, flatboats, skiffs, schooners, dugouts, steamboats, and other craft in the Florida Parishes area. He discusses the danger and challenges of his work, shows examples of artifacts and preservation efforts, and explains what these vessels tell us about the people who used them and the kind of lives they led.
