The Land of Sugar

The BRGHS will present Mary Louise Johnson on March 15th at 10 a.m. She is an acclaimed Louisiana author who has studied the sugar industry and the Sugar Belt extensively. Ms. Johnson will discuss life on a sugar plantation in the Bayou Lafourche area and explain its ties to New Orleans and to the old Sugar Exchange. The BRGHS meeting is open to the general public and visitors are welcome. The presentation will take place in the Bluebonnet Regional Branch library in the meeting room. Join us!
