Seminar on reseacrh for Missing Persons and Adoptees

Got missing links ? Who doesn't in the genealogy game. However it is especially difficult to begin family history research without the knowledge of who your parents are. This happens more often than you would think in a world of foster care, adoptions, and abandonments. To help bridge that immediate gap the genealogy staff at the Bluebonnet library has contacted a representative from the Department of Social Services and ABC Adoption support group to make a special presentation on these issues. The genealogy librarian will also present information about research strategies, history of the orphan trains and local orphanages. Participation in this event which takes place September 12 from 1 to 5 p.m. is limited to 50 people. Call 763-2283 and reserve your place.
